‘Dancing With Our Stars’ Cast Revealed to Benefit Boulware Mission in Owensboro [PHOTOS]
Here’s the 2017 Dancing With Our Stars cast and details on how you can vote, buy tickets and support the Boulware Mission in Owensboro with this amazing event!
Dancing with our Stars will be August 12th at the Owensboro Convention Center. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with a sit-down dinner at about 7:00 p.m. and the contest to follow. There will be open dancing (during the intermission prior to the winners being announced and after the awards are presented). Dress is semi-formal. Tickets are $80 each or a table of 10 may be reserved for $800. Also, voting is very important as the champions will be determined based on a combination of the judges’ scores and People’s Choice Votes (votes are $1 each). Jason Koger is a motivational speaker, ambassador for Touch Bionics by Ossur, and patient model for Advanced Arm Dynamics. On March 1, 2008, Jason became a bilateral arm amputee when he came in contact with a down power line. Since then, Jason has been on a journey to inspire people to never give up. His instructor will be LeAnne Musick, the owner of Musick Studios, which is in its 10th year of business. Through those 10 years, she’s been able to dance with over 1,000 kids and adults throughout our community and surrounding counties.
Tyler Shookman has been L. Steve Castlen, Realtors’ Top Producing Agent year after year, helping hundreds of families in Owensboro and the surrounding counties find their dream homes. Tyler believes passionately in giving back and also strongly supports local businesses. Brandy Janosa will be Tyler’s instructor and she’s a Customer Service Representative for Old National Bank. She graduated from OCTC with her Associates Degree and is a former Zumba Instructor. Brandy is a member of the Chamber Young Professionals.
Brandi Rone has been a Realtor & member of the Greater Owensboro Board of Realtors for over 12 years and genuinely loves her career! Brandi has a passion for helping people help themselves and to make Owensboro a great place to call home. She works with many charities in the community and has been active in numerous kids’ sports programs over the years. Joey Barr is a member of the Owensboro Ballroom Dance Club and he and his partner won the inaugural Dancing With Our Stars event. Joey will be Brandi’s instructor this season.
Kathryn Coffey Raymer is an Executive Vice President, Manager of Mortgage Quality Management with U.S. Bank Home Mortgage. The Owensboro-Daviess County chapter of Girls’ Incorporated and the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce honored Kathryn with the prestigious Athena Award this year. Kathryn loves her hometown of Owensboro and has made significant contributions to the community throughout the years. Phillip Page will be her instructor. During college Phillip took every dance class he could fit into his schedule and excelled as a dance minor. In 2007 Phillip taught several swing and Lindy hop workshops.
Dr. John Murray Adams (“The Vision Ninja”) is an Optometrist at Advantage Eye care in Owensboro. Dr. Adams grew up in Florenceville, New Brunswick, Canada and is an active father, athlete and coach. He competed on NBC’s American Ninja Warrior season 8 (Indianapolis City Qualifier and Indianapolis City Final) and is competing on Season 9 in the Denver City Qualifier. In June of 2015 he was a member of the team that set a world record for parallel bar dip relay, in three hours. He’ll be teamed with Jessica Hodges as his instructor. She’s the Front Desk Coordinator, Marketing Director and a Certified Nursing Assistant at Progressive Sports Therapy. She’s also a Zumba Instructor at Ely’s Dance Fitness.
Brad Moore was named Associate Athletics Director for External Operations at Kentucky Wesleyan College on June 1, 2016 after serving the College as Director of Major Gifts since September of 2015. He oversees external revenue generation for the athletic department, including corporate sponsorships and licensing, while serving as the chief development officer and executive director of the newly created Panther Athletic Fund – the annual fundraising arm of the Department of Athletics. Brad will be instructed by Kaitlin Nonweiler. She graduated from Daviess County High School in 2010 where she was one of the instructors of the DCHS Latin Dance Troupe.
