Owensboro Hit with Freak Hailstorm [VIDEO]

Roxianne the Receptionist appeared in the studio doorway this afternoon, afflicted with a mild case of shock and awe, to tell me that it was HAILING outside.

I don't know how many in the area got the hail, but we got pounded here at WBKR. Eyewitness News meteorologist David Heckard had just told me a weak cold front was passing through.

But I thought that just meant a little much-needed rain. Nope, not by a long shot. This was a huge freak hailstorm. Blinding. A real soaker. In fact, I got real soaked. But it was fun. Check it out:
