Dave Spencer Discovers Izze Brand Sparkling Juice

So far, my favorite grocery store discovery of 2014 is Izze. I call it soda. Izze calls itself "sparkling juice." I defer to Izze.

And the reason I do that is because there isn't anything carbonated about Izze drinks. The fizz in Izze (hey, say that three times fast) comes from sparkling water.

So far, Kroger only carries five flavors: Clementine, Grapefruit, Blackberry, Pomegranate, and all-new Cherry Lime, which feels like a limited edition flavor, although I hope it isn't. It's the best one I've tasted thus far, even though they are all good.

Other Izze flavors include Ginger, Lemon, Peach, Blueberry, and Apple.

It is my goal to try them all.

By the way, they make great mixers. It's good stuff and there isn't any added sugar. It's sweetened with fruit juice. The coloring also comes from fruit, so nothing weird.

Seriously, if you're looking for something different and refreshing this summer, here you go.

(Oh, and I'm not sure, but I may have the last two bottles of the Cherry Lime available in Owensboro. But I'm sure there's more to come. It's too good.)
