Daviess County High School is preparing to host a really important event for college-bound students.  It's the DCHS County to College event and is FREE to the public.

The event is 5pm, Tuesday, August 28th at Daviess County High School.  It features a  college fair with information about how to apply for college, how to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), how to apply for scholarships and prepare for the ACT.

Representatives from a variety of colleges and universities will be on hand as well.  According to DCPS, "Owensboro Community and Technical College, Kentucky Wesleyan College, Brescia University, Western Kentucky University Owensboro, the University of Kentucky, the University of Louisville, Murray State University, Eastern Kentucky University, the University of Southern Indiana, the U.S. Army, and the National Guard will have tables set up in the school lobby starting at 5 p.m."

In addition to information about colleges and universities, there will be free dinner provided by the Daviess County High School Family Resource Center.  Dinner will feature pizza and an ice cream sundae bar.  Plus, there will be door prizes held throughout the evening.

The event is sponsored by the DCHS Guidance Department, Youth Services Center, PAWS organization and DCHS Panther Foundation. All DCHS seniors and their families are invited to attend.
