The Daviess County High School speech team had a very successful weekend at an invitational meet in Marshall County.  The team took 2nd place at the event behind some very strong individual performances.

Julia Boehman finished 1st in Poetry Interpretation

CeCe Phillips  finished in 1st place in Storytelling and 3rd place in Prose Interpretation

Max Smith was 1st place in Impromptu Speaking and 2nd place in Extemporaneous.

Easton Crisp placed 2nd in Storytelling

In improvisational duo the team of Jacob Stewart and Jordan Marsh finished 4th and Easton Crisp and Michael Hoover placed 5th.

Elise Benner & Devin Melton finished 5th in Duo Interpretation.

Stephen Ward finished 6th in Extemporaneous Speaking

In improvisational duo the team of Easton Crisp and Michael Hoover placed 5th and the team of Jacob Stewart and Jordan Marsh finished 4th.

As a team Daviess County finished 2nd and placed 10 of the team's 18 entries in finals.  The Marshall County meet was the most successful tournament of the competition season thus far for DCHS.

The team's next tournament is December 3 in Murray.
