The Daviess County Public Schools district is proud to announce 110 students have been recognized by the College Board for their exceptional achievement on the college-level AP Exams.

Students take the AP Exams in May after they have completed challenging college-level courses at their high schools. Most of the nation's four-year colleges and universities award credit, advanced placement, or both based on successful performances on the AP Exams. More than 1400 institutions award a full year's credit to students presenting a sufficient number of qualifying grades.

Four members of the DCPS Class of 2016 earned recognition as National AP Scholars, these students received an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. Weston Trey Kinison and Elaine Leslie, 2016 graduates of Apollo; Robert Clark, a 2016 graduate of DCHS; and Christopher Clark, a senior at DCHS who took the AP Exam as a junior, have achieved this highest level of recognition.

The Scholar with Distinction Award was earned by 21 DCPS students. These students received an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of the exams.
