Dolly Parton’s ‘He’s Alive’ Brought the House Down at the 1989 CMA’s [VIDEO]

You're probably not supposed to remember much about ANY awards show 23-plus years after the fact. But one thing stands out about the 1989 Country Music Association Awards and that would be Dolly Parton's version of the Don Francisco gospel song "He's Alive."

She was joined on stage by, I believe, the Sevierville Choir. It was a rousing, show-stopping performance that brought the audience to its feet for a lengthy standing ovation. And it's a perfect performance video for Easter Sunday.
