Dolly Parton’s “Smoky Mountains Rise” Telethon Airs and Streams Tonight
The "Smoky Mountains Rise" Telethon put together by Dolly Parton in wake of the devastating fires in Sevier County, Tennessee is tonight at 7:00 p.m. CST.
It will air on the following cable networks: AXSTV, RFD-TV, Great American Country, The Heartland Network, and it will stream live on Dolly's Facebook page. Scheduled to appear with Dolly will be Reba McEntire, Alison Krauss, Kenny Rogers, Alabama, LoCash, Hank Williams, Jr, Chris Stapleton, Cyndi Lauper, Michael W. Smith, Jamey Johnson, Big & Rich, Chris Young, Aaron Lewis, Chris Janson, Montgomery Gentry, Rhonda Vincent, and Don McLean.
Several celebrities will also be donating their time by answering phones and taking pledges. The number to call during the telethon will be 1-800-CARE-MORE. It was reported Tuesday the wildfires caused more than $500 million in damage.
