Yesterday, Chad and I were talking about the cast of "Duck Dynasty", one of America's most popular reality shows, announcing they will release a Christmas album, "Duck the Halls", this fall. A&E's top-rated reality series, features the Robertson family of West Monroe, Louisiana, owners and operators of the Duck Commander duck call. The popularity of the brand has spread a wide swath of America's capitalism. They have entire sections of Bass Pro Shops dedicated to their products and you will bump into their stand ups in any Walmart.

Willie Robertson, CEO of Duck Commander, told Great American Country, “Faith, family and ducks – in that order – have always been our priorities. Christmas is an important holiday for us not only because of our strong faith, but also our holiday family traditions. We’re having a great time making this album.”  “The whole family is going to be involved,” Korie Robertson, Willie’s wife, added. “It’ll be kind of a variety show style, music CD, and we’ve got some surprises for you, so it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

I have only seen the show through the On Demand feature, which includes seeing them in HD. The Robertson clan include: Phil, Miss Kay, Jase, Missy, Si, Jessica, Jep, Willie, Korie, Sadie and John Luke. To me, they are fascinating in that they are filthy rich but are as down home as gumbo.

The most popular episode of Duck Dynasty was their Redneck Christmas celebration.

So, get ready, the Christmas album is in stores October 29th.
