The deep freeze, ugh! I was in Tennessee over the New Year's weekend, and although it was a touch warmer there, I made sure I did these two things before I left my place and I headed south. Watch!

Also make sure your vents, if they are in the floor, are not blocked in any way so you can get all the warm air flowing through your place. If you use space heaters, make sure you use them sparingly and when they are not in use, turn them off and unplug them. This means my fire cube is in semi-retirement.
