Equifax Data Breach: What To Do?

Credit monitoring service Equifax announced last week that over 143 million of their customers were at risk of stolen data. It is one of the worst hacks and data breaches to date.

What can you do to see if your data has been stolen? You can input some information at this site and if your information has been stolen, there are additional steps.

Here is a statement by Equifax's Chairman and CEO Rick Smith on the incident:

In other words, if you use Equifax for your credit monitoring, you may likely be affected by the security breach. Smith will testify before a U.S. House panel concerning the breach on October 3rd.
