Notice I used the word "liked" and honestly, it's not the best movie I've ever seen. Still, I knew I had to watch it, so when I returned home this past Saturday night from our Ultimate Dirty Santa Party, I got settled in and I watched the Lifetime original movie, 'Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever'. No, it wasn't bad, but Aubrey Plaza, er, the voice of Grumpy Cat, nailed it.

Although I'm still mad I didn't get a phone call from the big shots at Lifetime, Plaza was the perfect second voice choice. She is constantly deadpan in her delivery. Observe:

I was chuckling every time she "spoke". I think we're kindred spirits, and I'm talking about both Plaza and Tardar Sauce aka Grumpy Cat. As far as the movie itself, and I promise no spoilers, the story is a little cheesy, however, it's a movie the whole family can watch and they can both appreciate Grumpy Cat's stunts and humor. Stunts? Yes, there were '"stunt cats" made at Jim Henson's Creature Shop:

If you missed 'Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever', check you listings, because I'm pretty sure Lifetime will be rerunning it a lot. I may just watch it again. Shhhh!
