Do you ever get bored and just start doodling? I remember watching my Mom doodle while she was talking on the phone, the land line kind! I know, I know, I realize we live in a world where boredom is easily satisfied with a smartphone or other gadget. Sometimes for me, yes me, technology isn't enough, so I doodle, make notes, or I practice my signing my name. Is this weird?

The notes you see on the front page of the website, those are all the requests I jotted down when we had our "Blast from the Past" weekend a little while ago. Yikes! When I started in radio, I wrote requests down as neatly as I could, although I don't know why, no one else was ever going to see them...until now. Here's another boredom session:

If you are from Ohio County, then you totally get what I was doing here. Or not. I started writing down several towns, then the arrow points to an adjoining town/community. You'll notice by Rockport, there's just an "M", and I could not for the life of me think of the next place across the bridge; by the way, it's Martwick., which is in Muhlenberg County. Yes Virginia, there is a Hell's Neck, it's off the road on your way to Horton and Rosine. I've got more:

Ha, Ha! Okay, when there were rumors of a 'Mrs. Doubtfire 2', and a few months before we lost Robin Williams, I wrote down a possible plot point for the sequel. As you can see, at least one friend was on board. Think this one is weird? I've saved the best for last:

Yes, "wine for cats". Not only is this the most legible, it's the most, well, I don't know what to make of it? I was probably looking at something cat-related online, and this is what popped into my head. Wait! Maybe I can make this one into a charming children's book or made-for-tv movie. The sky's the limit!
