Hockey fans!  The Evansville IceMen are coming to Owensboro this Friday night.  And we have all the scoop on the annual Blue and White Game here at WBKR.com!  Ice!  Ice! Baby!

The City of Owensboro’s Edge Ice Center and the Evansville IceMen are pleased to announce they are once again teaming up to bring professional hockey to Owensboro.

The Evansville IceMen will play their inaugural inter-squad scrimmage, the Blue and White game on Friday, October 11 at the Edge Ice Center.

 

The scrimmage will cap off the team’s training camp and will begin at 7:15 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. The inter-squad game will be formatted with ECHL rules and regulations in place. Following the game, spectators will have the opportunity to meet and greet with some of the players, as well as have the opportunity to skate with the players and take photos on the ice. Post-game interviews with the players will be held in the arena lobby.

 

Tickets for the Blue and White game can be purchased through the IceMen Maniacs Booster Club at www.icemenmaniacs.com, through the Owensboro Youth Hockey Association at www.owensborohockey.com, or at the door the night of the event. Tickets are $5 per person with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Owensboro Youth Hockey Association.

 

The inter-squad showdown will be the final training camp action for the IceMen before they get set to prepare for their North Division rival Kalamazoo Wings, on October 19 at the Ford Center in Evansville.
