The Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club will host the 34th Annual Steak & Burger Dinner on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. at the Mike Horn Unit, 3415 Buckland Square, Owensboro. Your ticket entitles you and our Club members an opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal and listen to our speaker. The featured speaker for this year's event is Jack "Goose" Givens, one of Kentucky's most well-known UK basketball players. He led the Kentucky Wildcats to a national championship in 1978 and was voted the most valuable player of the tournament. He was a first round draft selection of the Atlanta Hawks in 1978. He then started a career in broadcasting. He has held analyst positions with Turner Sports, NBC Sports, ESPN, Jefferson-Pilot Productions, USA Network and Host Communications. Givens has also served as color analyst for his alma mater on the Kentucky Basketball Network. Come for a great meal, great speaker, and an opportunity to be introduced to some of Owensboro's greatest kids.
