The Market features locally grown produce, flowers, meats, baked goods and lots of surprises. During the opening weekend, vegetable plants, flowers, early produce and more great items will be available. The Market is open 6:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays in the parking lot of Owensboro Christian Church, 2818 New Hartford Road.
Last year, the Market expanded to three locations during the peak season. This season, the Market will have four sites. In June, July and August, vendors from our region will be at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, 1201 Pleasant Valley Road, 1:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesdays. In June and July, vendors will be at New Life Church, 400 Crabtree Ave., 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays and at Nona’s Downtown Market, 126 East 2nd St., 2-5 p.m. Fridays. In June and July, the Farmers’ Market will be open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at Owensboro Christian. SNAP/EBT, WIC and Senior Nutrition checks are welcome at all locations.
“We are very excited about these partnerships that allow us to offer the Owensboro Regional Farmers Market to more people,” said Farmers’ Market President Suzanne Cecil White. “The Market is a healthy and affordable alternative for families. It also supports our farmers and our regional economy.”
Saturdays are special at the Farmers’ Market. In June and July, musicians and other entertainers from the region will perform on Saturdays.
“We want people to experience the market,” White said.
