Theatre Workshop of Owensboro (TWO) has several summer events coming up. PINOCCHIO, a children's production, will be performed June 12-14 at The Empress Theater, 418 Frederica. Friday's show will be 7:00 PM, Saturday's at 2:00 and 7:00, Sunday, June 14 at 2:00 PM.
SUMMER SHORTS also opens Friday, June 12. This collection of original one-act plays will be presented at TWO's Trinity Centre, 407 W. Fifth St. Showtimes are 7:30 Friday and Saturday, and 2:00 PM Sunday the 14th. The show also plays the following weekend, June 19-21.
THE YELLOW BOAT is a drama based on the true story of a young boy afflicted with AIDS related complications. It will be performed by area high school students June 19-21. Times will be 7:00 PM Friday and Saturday, plus a 2:00 matinee Saturday and Sunday. The play will be performed at The Empress.
