Flags Are Flying in Downtown Owensboro Honoring Heroes

When you are in downtown Owensboro be sure and stop by the Daviess County Courthouse and see the Walk of Honor. Beautiful American flags waving in the breeze, chosen by area residents to honor of loved ones.Military and law enforcement may be the majority in the Walk of Honor but other professions are acknowledged as well.

The Walk of Honor is a fundraiser for Kiwanis Club of Owensboro.

The month-long event from June 6 – July 6 dovetails with the D-Day memorial this past Saturday, Flag Day June 14 and of course the July 4th celebration.
