Flooding Closes Kentucky Roads

Due to heavy rain overnight we have reports of flash flooding along highways in several counties that has severely hampered travel.

Motorists are urged to slow down and use extreme caution.
Several counties report water over the road In places that have not been flooded before.

McCracken County and Carlisle County highway crews report water is over roadways in so many places they are having difficulty getting signs up. KY 994/Old Mayfield Road in McCracken County is CLOSED due to high water at the intersection with KY 1014/Houser Road.  This is at KY 994 mile point 5 to 6 and KY 1014 mile point 2 to 3.

Calloway reports flooding at the intersection of KY 94 at KY 1660/Johnny Robertson Road and at several spots along KY 121 in the county.  A tree is reported blocking KY 121 in the New Concord area.

Trigg County reports water over various highways.  Water is over US 68 between the 11 and 12 mile marker.  This is near the entrance to Lake Barkley State Park.

Hickman County reports KY 58 is CLOSED by floodwaters at the 10 mile marker near Clinton.

KY 1820 is CLOSED by floodwaters at the Graves-Hickman County line.

Livingston County reports water over the following Highways:

KY 937 between the 1 and 2mm
KY 1433 between the 4 and 5
KY 723 between the 5 and 6
