Former US Olympian Mantano Runs 800M While Eight Months Pregnant

Sports these days are out of control. Yes, the US Men are still alive in the World Cup after losing to Germany this week; Wimbledon is in full swing, but I bet you didn’t see this story.Former Olympian and 5-time national champion Alysia Montano ran the 800m, that’s a little less than a half mile, at the US Track and Field Championships this week in Sacramento, while 34 weeks pregnant.

Despite finishing last place in her heat, Montano didn’t get lapped and she said she has been running all throughout her pregnancy with her doctors’ approval.

So, what did you do this week? It makes me feel a tad bit guilty about those two donuts I consumed this morning.
