Daviess County EMA is offering FREE Basic Weather Spotting Training on Thursday, February 16th from 5pm to 7p in the Fellowship Room at Owensboro Christian Church (Entrance D).  Participants will learn to understand weather patterns and severe weather criteria, plus they'll learn how to properly identify and report severe weather.  The training will be led by instructors from the National Weather Service and will include photos, videos and all the tools you need to become a well-informed spotter.

Plus, there will be an opportunity to ask questions.  Daviess County Emergency Management and the Daviess County Weather Spotter team will be present to answer questions about local weather spotting.

On April 4th, in the Community Center at Owensboro Christian Church (Entrance E), there will be a FREE Advanced Weather Spotter class.

If you have any questions regarding the training, call Daviess County Emergency Management at (270) 685-8448.
