Gabes Tower to Become a Best Western Premier

I can honestly tell you that every single time I see Gabes Tower, I have to wonder what's to become of it. I've been at a total loss. (Good thing it's not UP to me, right?)

I'm no expert, but it's always seemed like it would be incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to tear it down considering its proximity to businesses and residences.

Well, Copperhead Hospitality has no intention of letting that happen.

Owensboro Living reports that the Milwaukee-based hotel management company announced on its Facebook page that it intends to turn our beloved Gabes Tower into a Best Western Premier.

I love this!

Brings back memories of when it was THE elite hotel in which to stay if you were visiting Owensboro.

This is exciting news for Owensboro and any fans of the venerable old local landmark who didn't want to see it disappear.
