The American Cancer Society has some exciting news for garage sale fans and bargain hunters!  The RELAY RUMMAGE SALE is this Saturday at the Daviess County Lions Club Fairgrounds and all proceeds benefit RELAY FOR LIFE!

The Relay Rummage Sale features great bargains from about a dozen of Daviess County's Relay For Life teams.  Stop by for great savings on estate items, yard sale items, baked goods, and, of course, American Cancer Society's full-line of T-shirts and swag, like FIGHT LIKE A GIRL shirts and more!

The event begins at 7am CST and runs through 3pm!  All proceeds . . . every single penny . . . will benefit the American Cancer Society's RELAY FOR LIFE, which is coming up Friday, May 20th at Diamond Lake Campground and Resort!

This is my 2nd year as Chairperson of Relay here in Daviess County and I can tell you we have some AWESOME events planned to make the 2011 Relay even bigger and better than our record-setting 2010 event!  Last year, we had a crowd of over 5,000 people and we are aiming even higher this year!

Because of that, we are still registering teams!!  If you are interested, feel free to shoot me an email at chad@wbkr.com, check out the website www.cancer.org, or call the Daviess County ACS office at 270-683-0425!

Our goal for 2011 is 59 teams and we received word last night that we've already reached 63!!  And we're still counting!  And, like Uncle Sam, WE WANT YOU!!  I don't think there's anyone in the tri-state who has not been affected by cancer in some way.  So, PLEASE!!!  Help us in the fight!  Cures are possible and, with Relay For Life, we are making them a reality.  On Friday, May 20th, we are going to join forces and FIGHT BACK!  Cancer NEVER sleeps and, at RELAY, we won't either!

In the meantime, you can support the cause by going shopping Saturday at the RELAY RUMMAGE SALE!  Again, it's 7am to 3pm at the Daviess County Lions Club Fairgrounds off HWY 54 in Philpot!  Join us for this one-of-a-kind event, raise some money for charity, and get yourself a great deal or steal!
