A biopic about the late great George Jones entitled No Show Jones has been in the works for a couple of years, but now, an authorized script is being written, and Jones' widow Nancy will serve as one of the film's executive producers.

Alan Wenkus, who penned the soon to be released biopic about rap group N.W.A., Straight Outta Compton, has been picked to write the film. He has gained full access to the singer's life with Nancy Jones' approval. Jones has said she would want either "Bradley Cooper or Brad Pitt" to play her late husband, which are great suggestions, but here are a few I like.

Jim Carrey is kind of an out of the box choice, but he could carry off Jones' crew cut and early wacky sensibilities.
