Go to the “Source”

I saw a terrific movie Saturday night. It's "Source Code"--a sci-fi thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a soldier being used as a guinea pig for an experiment in which he is placed in the body of another man during the last 8 minutes of the man's life.

The mission is to return to the body and this 8 minute period as much as possible in order to determine who planted the bomb that blew up the Chicago commuter train on which the man and hundreds of others were riding. "Source Code" navigates the tricky time travel theme carefully and successfully and winds up a winner. It's currently playing at the Malco Cinema 16.
