Shelia Hayden is a devoted WBKR listener.  And, when her granddaughter decided to enter the Miss Kosair Children's Hospital Pageant at Grayson County High School, she naturally let us know.  I have known Clara Cassidy since she was a child (they grow up SO fast) and am so excited to announce that she is competing in the pageant to help raise money for the hospital.

The pageant is Saturday, March 26th and, according to her grandma Shelia, Clara "doesn't doesn't care if she wins, but wants to raise the most money."  And we think that's the perfect attitude to have . . . the perfect spirit- especially for a soon-to-be 12-year-old!  There is a trophy awarded to the pageant contestant who brings in the most funds, so we're rooting for Clara to win that hardware.

And the really cool thing about this pageant is that all money raised, every single penny, goes to the Kosair Patient Relief Program.  According to Jessica Langley, Clara's mom, "Clara's heart is really in this."

If you'd like to contribute to Clara's pageant fund, you can send a check to Clara Cassidy, 632 Conklin School Road, Leitchfield, Kentucky 42754.  In the meantime, we're sending Clara the best of luck!
