Hartford, Area of Owensboro Vote to Allow Alcohol Sales

Two Tri-State areas are now on their way to alcohol sales. The City of Hartford and Precinct 30 in Owensboro both held special elections on Tuesday.

The Hartford special election came after an online petition was approved. The final tally, Wet-280, Dry-155. Hartford joins Beaver Dam in individually voting wet. This was posted to the Hartford, Kentucky Facebook page:

Precinct 30 in the heart of Owensboro also held a wet/dry vote. The area is almost a perfect square area with boundaries that run south of Legion Ave. between Frederica and JR Miller Blvd to Lafayette Drive. The area includes Fountain Square. Though voter turnout was extremely low, the finally tally, Wet-23, Dry-17.
