Sorgho Elementary School is hosting the Second Annual "Operation Warm Hands" which helps local homeless shelters right here in our community and they need your help.

Starting Tuesday, March 3, Student members of the SES Lighthouse Team will be stationed along the morning drop-off line from 7 to 7:30 a.m. to collect items. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, mouthwash, socks, gloves, mittens or financial donations may also be delivered to the school at 5390 Kentucky 56 anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. weekdays.

Operation Warm Hands is part of the school’s ongoing work in nurturing a spirit of community service among its students.

If you would like to donate to Operation Warm Hands feel free to stop by the WBKR office at 3301 Frederica Street or any local Family Resource/Youth Service Center here in Owensboro-Daviess County.
