Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari’s Wildbeest Water Coaster Takes Top Honors At Golden Ticket Awards

Holiday World & Splashin' Safari's Wildebeest water coaster took top honors as "Best Water Park Ride" at the Golden Ticket Awards in Coney Island over the weekend. Mammoth was named the #2 water park ride.

Wildebeest took the top honor for the sixth year in a row. The honor was announced by Amusement Today magazine, which presented its annual survey of the "best of the best" in the amusement park industry during Saturday evening's awards ceremony. For the sixteenth consecutive year, Holiday World & Splashin' Safari were named the #1 cleanest park outranking Disney World, Kings Island, Dollywood, and Cedar Point.

In other categories:

*Holiday World's Raven and Voyage roller coasters were named among the world's top 12 wooden coasters.

*Thunderbird was ranked as one of the top new rides of 2015 worldwide.

*Splashin' Safari was named #2 water park!

*The parks' staff was named the second friendliest and Holiday World was again ranked as a top park worldwide finishing in ninth place.
