Well it's not.... NEW by any means but it's new to me.  I traded in Mrs. Deville and picked up my dream Caddy.  Hey... If you're gonna go big you may as well go enormous.

So like I said, huge.  Motorweek back in the 90's said that it had more cubic feet of space in it than a state room on the Queen Mary. It's a 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham.  It has the same size gas tank as our Ford Expedition and Chevy Express full size van station vehicles, the same size tires as both of them as well and a Corvette engine.  However it weighs 4600 pounds so that Corvette handling isn't all there.  In fact you could fit a Corvette in the back seat and three more in the trunk.  It's also a high miler... one hundred ninety eight thousand and change have passed through the front grille but it still runs and shifts like a new one.

My favorite thing about this is that I know quite a bit about it's history.  It was built in Texas and was first purchased in Atlanta in January of 1997 when it had 300 miles on it.  The first owner was a realtor in Atlanta and he put sixty thousand miles on it before handing the keys over to an older couple born in the 30's that lived in New York.  Then after 130 thousand additional miles it made it's way to Owensboro.  The man from New York was in his 80's when he gave the ole girl up.  And now it's in my driveway.

Check out my dream boat.

I'm impressed on the condition of the interior for having 200,000 miles.

I love the retro digital speedometer, trip counter and odometer.  I wasn't lying about those miles... this thing has some pavement time logged in for sure.

My favorite piece on the whole car.... the backseat vanity mirrors.
