For the majority of humans, 13 years lasts about 13 years. For Big Blue Nation, it lasts about 13 centuries. But the hand-wringing can stop. The Kentucky Wildcats have returned to a familiar place, a place they've been--whaddya know--13 times before. UK is back in the Final Four!

Kentucky's chokehold defense was just the ticket for keeping a tight lid on the productivity of North Carolina's big men. This time it was junior forward Deandre Liggins who iced the deal with a three-point dagger with 37 seconds to go to put the 'Cats up by four at 73-69. Then three more free throws and Big Blue had a seven-point win over the Tar Heels and were booking a trip to Houston, site of this year's Final Four. It was another exciting game in a tournament filled with them. I've never seen so many white-knucklers! Hopefully the upcoming national semi-finals and championship will be as exciting. This Saturday night Butler will take on VCU at 5:09 Central, followed at (or around) 7:49 by Connecticut vs. Kentucky. The 'Cats are finally playing basketball in April. 'Bout time.
