The last week, and yes, it's now been exactly one week, hasn't been the most pleasant 7 days of my life. Gotta be honest.

I decided I'd wait and see if this was still plaguing me in one week's time before I wrote about it and it is, so here we go.

Call me what you want. I don't care. I own it.

I CANNOT STAND HAVING A COLD OR WHATEVER THIS IS IN THE SUMMERTIME!

Seriously, this thing--and it IS a sinus infection--is a full-on menace. And it's because it's happening in July.

I've been dealing with allergy issues my whole life, but I usually only get what I'm getting right now in November or March.

Stuffy head, sore throat, and, well, nasal passage, uh, stuff. (You know what I mean. It's gross and I'm not going any further.)

But in November and March, it doesn't last this long.

So I've decided that cold weather actually helps and hot, relentlessly humid, and wet weather DOES NOT.

Not kidding. I haven't had anything even remotely resembling an illness in the summer months since I had the flu in August of 1991. No picnic.

But that's 25 years.

Maybe it was just my time. All I know is that I have to keep pumping ibuprofen or my throat starts to get sore again, so it's not really over.

And today is my last day for the antibiotic.

The weird thing is, I've never had a fever in all of this, so, for the most part, I've felt fine.

So wish me luck. I can't imagine this lasting into a second week.

Right?

Right?!?
