IMAJ Performs Live at WBKR and Stuns Grand Rapids with Amazing Grace [VIDEO]

IMAJ, a lovely and talented singer/songwriter originally from Florida who now calls Texas home, visited the WBKR studios recently. She brought mango salsa, sweet potato butter, and her beautiful voice and entertained us all on a Thursday afternoon.

She also brought a questionnaire, which I greatly appreciated. Of course, by the time I got around to the list of questions, we'd already covered most of it...all except the part about her being the daughter of actor Philip Michael Thomas who played Detective Ricardo Tubbs on the hit 1980s crime drama Miami Vice.

But back to the music. Accompanied by her guitarist, IMAJ sang a song called "Into the Blue." Then we listened to her new single "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" and a stirring cover of "Amazing Grace." And it's the latter that has generated the most reaction since her visit.
