Well, the article actually says "...quintessentially Kentucky" but I'm on a character diet so I chose "definitively." Anyway, I'm all about the bucket lists and I found one that lists 38 things to do or see in the Bluegrass. They are considered musts. Then I added some.

First of all, YES, I did see that the list was published in 2011. And NO I don't think that makes it obsolete since everything on that list is still a perfectly available opportunity.

(Hmm, I bet "available opportunity" is redundant.)

Okay, gang, seriously...I love this list I have saved myself a copy because I am a road trip warrior and there things ON that list that I have not done.

There are also things NOT on that list that I recommend like visiting Jerusalem Ridge in Rosine--the home of Bill Monroe; checking out the historic Frankfort Cemetery;  going to the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green; take a drive down U.S. 27 from Ashland to Frankfort (and stop at Loretta Lynn's childhood home along the way); and, of course, visit all the state parks that are attached to Rough River Lake, Barren River Lake, Nolin River Lake, and Green River Lake.

Plus, there's Mammoth Cave. Maybe that didn't make the list because it's so obvious.

Anyway, you now have AT LEAST 38 things to do or see that are (now I'll use it) quintessentially Kentucky.
