It's bread, it's whatever savory or sweet filling you choose, it's a sandwich and it's one of my favorite things to eat and I can actually make one. PS, I don't cook, so you're in on the joke.

I thought I would share a few of my favorite sandwiches with you all and I'm not talking about no peanut butter and jelly, though I can make that one.

Great Harvest Bread's Apple Bacon Cheddar Melt

On my birthday last month, my Mom called up GHB and she had a few goodies sent over when I was work. One of them was a sandwich and I have to admit, I had NO idea what I was eating, but it was divine. The sandwich consisted of: sliced Granny Smith apples, bacon (yep!), cheddar and provolone cheeses, and orange habanero pepper jelly all on toasted sourdough bread. It was the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and smoky.

Any Pulled Pork Sandwich

This isn't rocket science, barbecue is king in Owensboro and I'm telling you, you can never go wrong with pulled pork on a hamburger bun. Yes, it has to be on a bun. I prefer mine with pickles, no onions, and no sauce. Okay, sauce optional.

The BLT at Jimmy John's

This is a new one for me and I can't stop ordering it. It's nothing fancy, just bacon, lettuce, and tomato, but the mayo is something else; it's very rich and plentiful. Yum!

*Turkey Club at Hardee's*

Okay, this one is specially marked because Hardee's doesn't make it anymore and they probably haven't in 20 or so years. In case you feel the same, here you go, and I also want to point out, who eats a sandwich like this?

There you have it and HERE are some deals you can eat up for National Sandwich Day!
