I apologize if that headline is confusing, but I'm really not sure how to put it. Let me just say that I've been seeing more and more Facebook posts from different people that say nearly the same thing, and I'm now wondering if it's legit. It has to do with cleaning out friend lists.

More and more, I'm seeing posts from Facebook friends that say something like, "Okay, let's see who's really my friend and who isn't."

And then there's a request to "share this...don't comment...I want to see who will really do this."

Something like that.

Then, of course, the obligatory "if you don't respond, you're out" or something.

Anyway, I see that all the time and now I think I've seen it enough to maybe wonder if it might be a hacker or something weird Facebook is doing.

Or...if there are just a lot of people out there that feel that way and can now use the wonderful tool that IS Facebook to prove to themselves that they really have friends.

Have you seen these sorts of posts? Where someone dares you NOT to do something just so he or she can see if you'll prove what a friend you are.

Thought I'd throw that out there and see if anyone else is running into this.

Bottom line...if I accepted your friend request, then everything's cool, right? I mean, that only makes sense.
