Jacob Lawalin Debuts “You’re American” at Battle for The Big O Finale [Video]
Though he didn’t walk away with the grand prize, Jacob Lawalin (of Magnet, Indiana) delivered one of the most memorable moments from The Battle for the Big O finale last Saturday night at Diamond Lake’s Good Time Theatre. He unveiled a brand new original song called “You’re American.” And it was a hit with our panel of judges and the patriotic crowd. Take a listen!

Some of the comments from the judges’ included . . . “Songs were great! Keep writing!” and “Girls must love you! I’d like to get in your truck!” We’re pretty sure that last comment came from WBKR’s Barb Birgy, who tends to be a little bit of a cougar when she sees young men with guitars. LOL!!
Jacob finished the evening ranked 5th out of the 12 competing acts, but was only a half point out of 4th place and only 4 points out of 3rd. He promises to re-enter the Battle next year and we can’t wait to see what this gifted singer/songwriter has in store for us in 2014!
The Battle for The Big O is presented by Henderson Chevy Buick GMC and CBS 44.
