The narrator called the creature that I thought was an alligator resting on the river island a caiman. Who am I to argue? It's a National Geographic video and they oughta know.

The video is fascinating. On the left of the screen is a jaguar with two caiman--very much like alligators or crocodiles, but smaller--in its sights.

In other words, steer clear of jaguars. They obviously have pretty good vision. And THIS jaguar was obviously very hungry to stalk this particular creature and go to the lengths to which it went in order to eat it.

And I agree with the narrator. I thought the jaguar, once it got into the water, was the other caiman that had swum away and was returning. But, no, it was the jaguar.

I was always under the impression that cats of all types hated water. Guess I was wrong.

Amazing.
