John Calipari Interrupts 5-Star Recruit on a Date

Clearly, there's no doubting UK head coach John Calipari's prowess as a top-notch recruiter. In fact, when he wants his man, he might even...interrupt a date?!?

Miles Bridges, a 5-star small forward from Huntington, West Virginia, is on a great many coach's radar, including Calipari's.

Recently, he and his girlfriend were at Rave Cinemas about to watch The Gallows when, all of a sudden (great phrase when you're talking about a horror movie), Bridges' mobile phone rings.

Obviously, he ignored the pre-movie friendly reminder about silencing phones.

(And, don't you think it's hilarious when you're told "remember to silence your phones and enjoy the movie?" It's like, when you leave, you go, "Oh, crap, I forgot to enjoy the movie!)

Boy, did I digress!!

Anyway, Bridges gets a phone call in the movie theatre from John Calipari who was just calling to check in and see how he was doing.

Apparently, this kid gets upwards of 30 calls a day.

He must be very, very good.
