After a 2-0 start and its first SEC road win in 6 years, Kentucky Wildcat football could and SHOULD be uppermost in the minds of Big Blue fans everywhere. And I think they have a good shot against Florida in Commonwealth Saturday.

But I saw this and felt the need to share it.

And some, if not many, of you may have already seen it.

This weekend Coach John Calipari was officially inducted into the National Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.

And this blog I came upon was posted by NBA writer Matt Moore in conjunction with that induction.

As you know, at the end of every season that John Calipari has been at Kentucky, there has been wild speculation that he will jump to the NBA.

The Lakers, the Knicks, the Cavaliers. And on and on and on and...

And Calipari shoots those rumors down every time.

Well, he may not have to do that anymore, because what he said to NBA.com pretty much reads as a mission statement about his relationship with the University of Kentucky.

Here's what he said:

"I went through some things last year and I had a simple question for an owner. The impact I have on these young people, the impact to help change their families' lives, the impact I have in the seat I'm in at Kentucky to move people in a positive way, can I have that in the NBA? Where do I get the satisfaction from? What do we do that has an impact on a community, has an impact on people, or am I just coaching to try to help you make more money and win a championship? Tell me how because I'm a stage in my life that's not what moves me.' "

Now, let's move on.
