First of all, this needs a little set-up. Recently, Syracuse head basketball coach Jim Boeheim mentioned that UK coach John Calipari had complained about a recruiting edge Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski had gained coaching USA Basketball.

Calipari then called Boeheim to discuss this exchange. In tweets, Calipari was very complimentary of the job Boeheim and Coach K have done with USA Basketball.

Okay, so you have that. Here's the next part:

Tim Sullivan wrote a piece for the Louisville Courier-Journal about coaches who seem to have a LOT of advantages complaining about other coaches who seem to have a LOT of advantages in the recruiting arena.

John Calipari's name was frequently mentioned.

So, what happened next is why there's been an apology to Calipari issued by the Louisville Courier-Journal.

Whoever is responsible for illustrations on the front page of that newspaper's sports section created an image of a baby with the head of John Calipari yelling. The picture is accompanied by the headline, "It's Whiny at the Top, Too." You can see the illustration here.

A firestorm ensued leading to an official apology from Courier-Journal executive editor Neil Budde.

That was followed by a gracious comment on Twitter from Coach Calipari.

Now...can we all move on?
