John Mellencamp Coming to Evansville

A very long time ago, Heart was in concert at Roberts Stadium. I think it was 1982. Ann and Nancy Wilson had, as their opening act, a guy who'd just had two HUGE breakthrough hits.

His name WAS John Cougar.

Here's what stands out to me about that concert. I didn't get to go, but I knew tons of people in my high school who did.

What I remember most is that some of them actually LEFT after Cougar's set. Can you believe that? I can't imagine paying full price and then NOT staying for that particular opening act.

Fast forward to 2018.

We now call him John Mellencamp.

And he's coming back to Evansville!

Eyewitness News/WEHT-WTVW reports that Seymour, Indiana's favorite son will be in concert at the Old National Events Plaza Sunday, March 10th at 8PM.

"The John Mellencamp Show" will be loaded up with our favorite classics and new music, as well, from Other's People's Stuff, his new album due in November.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, September 21st at 10AM.
