Ya'll know that Kelly Clarkson is my woman.  And my woman is singing the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLVI.  That's all kinds of good news.  First of all, we finally have a singer who won't pull another Christina Aguilera moment and botch the words.  And secondly, we have recruited a singer who can actually SING that song.  In fact, Kelly is a PROFESSIONAL anthem singer!  This won't be her first time singing the "The Star-Spangled Banner" at a huge sporting event.  She's laid it out in the NFL before as well as the 2010 World Series, the 2011 NBA Finals, and the 2011 Indy 500.  To whet your appetite for Super Bowl Sunday, we have video footage of each performance!

Here's Kelly (five years ago) singing the anthem before a Dallas Cowboys game!

In 2010, Kelly sang the anthem before Game Three of the World Series between the Rangers and the Giants.

Yep!  That was awesome.  And so was this.  This is Kelly singing the anthem before the 2011 NBA Finals!

And, for good measure, here's one more.  Last year at the Indianapolis 500 Kelly sang the anthem, but got an assist from Seal!

As I am sure you noticed, in the first three videos, Kelly was decked out in the jerseys of her favorite Texan teams:  the Cowboys, Rangers, and Mavericks.  Super Bowl XLVI will pit the New England Patriots against the New York Giants.  Think she'll choose sides?  Or will she just show up and sing?  Either way, I can't wait to hear her!
