The Kentucky Mavericks did something at the Owensboro Sports Center Saturday night that they haven't done all season... they lost. To say the Mavs were stunned by the Lake Michigan Admirals would be an understatement. The Mavs had beaten the Admirals all four meetings this season and had no doubts that Saturday's game would be any different.

The game was back and forth the entire time and the Mavs just couldn't finish. The 112-104 loss eliminated the Mavs from the PBL playoffs and ended their inaugural Owensboro season.

What a season thou, right?!? I cannot say enough great things about the entire Mavericks organization. Ever since they announced they were relocating from Louisiana to Owensboro, the Mavs players have been all over the Tri-State. They are always supporting non-profits, attending community events and visiting schools. Basketball aside, and they are an amazing group of players, they have been a great asset to this community. They are great people and I'm proud to have them here.

Don't forget, Mavs basketball camps are right around the corner, so get your little Mavs signed up. Camp info can be found HERE.
