The death toll from last month's devastating Nepal earthquake has climbed past 7000. But for those who've survived, times are still treacherous. So every Red Cross worker that can lend hand is a blessing.

One such life saver is a Bowling Green nurse named Ginger Lang, who has battled altitude sickness and traveled incredibly bumpy mountain roads through the Himalayas to deliver medicine and supplies to survivors who are still barely hanging on.

Lang--the Kentuckiana Region Red Cross disaster health service adviser--was actually in nearby India when the quake hit and after a quick jaunt back to Kentucky flew to the quake-throttled region to offer assistance.

What she has witnessed has been short of mind-numbing.
