For almost four quarters of play, the University of Kentucky Wildcats had it easy, however, Penn State almost took away the Cats' first bowl victory in three years.

Not only did UK secure their 10th win of the season, which they hadn't done since 1977, junior running back Benny Snell Jr. broke the UK rushing record in the Citrus Bowl. He surpassed Sonny Collins who set the record all the way back in 1976.

Snell will now try his hand in the NFL as he will enter this spring's draft which will be held for the first time ever in Nashville.

The Nittany Lions had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds as they scored three times in the fourth quarter. Their final play with one second left, they tried to lateral the ball down the field which ended in a fumble.

The Citrus Bowl marked the Cats' ninth overall bowl victory.
