October isn't the best month for Kentucky road trips JUST because the leaves are changing and everything looks amazing, although that's a good reason.

Kentucky Tourism's list of some haunted events and places to go is also good reason to hop in the vehicle and hit the road this month.

Spooky entertainment abounds in the Bluegrass State this October according to kentuckytourism.com.

Of course, some of it is a bit of a drive, but, HEY, that's why they call it a road trip.

Over in  Carter County in eastern Kentucky, there's the quarter-mile long Carter Caves Haunted Trail.

Maybe you'll try to your hand--and your feet--at the 5th Annual Somerset Zombie Walk.

There's the Haunted Hall at Octagon Hall and Barn Maze of Terror in Franklin. That's not too far and it's an OCTAGON. Don't ask me why, but octagons are creepy. Maybe because the word begins in OCT?

Waveland Fright Nights in Lexington! Victorian Tales of Terror in Louisville!

What are you WAITING FOR?!? Here's your schedule.

Now, hit the road...IF YOU DARE!

Bwahahahahahaha....
