Landmark Destin Restaurant Catches Fire

AJ's Seafood & Oyster Bar was my home away from home several Spring Break's, so when I saw it up in flames, it made my heart hurt.

I instantly texted several college girlfriends with a picture of the blaze and the news. It's crazy how quickly memories can come back. I can remember outfits that I had on from our Destin trips and those were ten years ago! We loved that place. My friend Scalf and I even helped co-host an episode of a "Wild On E!" TV show. Let's all be glad that footage is hopefully gone forever, ha! We would go to AJ's for lunch, then back that night to dance and laugh. Alan, the owner, remembered us Kentucky girls, year after year. We even went back several years after college for Scalf's bachelorette party. AJ's holds so many of my favorite college memories and the thought of it being gone was rough.
