Kyle Larson was persistent all day long. The driver of the #42 Target Chevy coundn't shake Martin Truex Jr. in the first two stages, finishing 2nd to Truex in the first two segments of the  Fire Keepers Casino 400. Despite having trouble with Truex, Larson continued to mash the gas pedal, taking the lead with 9 laps to go, after a late race caution.  The win is Larson's second trip to victory lane this season, and vullted him into the top stop in the championship standings, leading Truex by 5 points.

Larson will look for back to back wins next weekend, as the Monster Energy Cup Series heads to California next Sunday. A second win in as many weeks would be huge for Larson, who is a California native. WBKR's coverage of the Toyota Safe Mart 350, from Sonoma Raceway begins at 1PM
