Leigh Anne Tuohy is coming to Owensboro! The woman, whose story inspired the book and film ('The Blind Side') about her adopted son, now NFL offensive tackle Michael Oher will be speaking at the Owensboro Convention Center Saturday night, August 22nd at 7pm.

The Alma Randolph Charitable Foundation is partnering with Owensboro Grain to bring Tuohy to town. Proceeds from the event will benefit Randolph's foundation which provides children in need with back to school clothing The foundation has provided clothing to over 14,000 children since it was founded in 1993.

Sandra Bullock won a Best Actress Oscar in 2010 for portraying Tuohy in 'The Blind Side'. Oher spent four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, winning a Super Bowl with the team in 2013. He spent last season with the Tennessee Titans, and in March he signed a two-year deal to join the Carolina Panthers.
